A day at the beach, a walk in the mountains, friends, family… since it’s development, photography has always preserved pieces of our past. Sebastiaa Bremer also keeps his memories on a series of images, but unlike most people he doesn’t keep them on a dusty drawer.
The inventive Dutch artist doesn’t let old pictures get old indeed, forgotten amidst the sands of time. On the contrary, he gives them new life, drawing and painting over the images, filling them with paint drops, placing new characters on the depicted scenes and reinventing the looks of each person.
Turning photographs into plastic arts experiments, Bremer perpetuates the registered moments in a different way. Check out his fine work.
